United Ways of Utah // EveryDay Strong
United Ways of Utah created EveryDay Strong to equip guardians with tools to raise resilient children. The program needed to raise awareness about their resources and share relevant tips in spaces where families frequent.
Our first approach to accomplish this was to create a family-friendly game that implemented the EveryDay Strong skills in an interactive, non-preachy way. In the game, you might experience unexpected setbacks, but with empower-ups and a little help from others, you can gain safety, connection, and confidence.

Evolving the Brand
EveryDay Strong needed typography, a color palette and an illustration library that could speak to all school-aged kids and all types of guardians. We used their existing primary colors as a base for the color palette and added complimenting colors of the rainbow. A funky, age-appropriate font paired well with our newly designed illustrations that incorporated modern black lines and inclusive iconography. These additions made gameplay more clear and allowed the campaign flexibility when speaking to different demographics in their promotional materials.

Promotional Materials
Our second approach for spreading awareness was a series of comics that taught EveryDay Strong principles and built off the same design elements from the game. These printed materials and social posts were informative without being too preachy and silly without being too juvenile. The overall tone helped EveryDay Strong effectively share tips at schools, libraries, and other family-friendly events.
